Us girls love our make-up, we’ve spent
years perfecting it, but sometimes, we can get it wrong.
Are you guilty of any of these?
Applying make-up on dry and flaky skin
The
mistake: Looked in the mirror, noticed the dry and
flaky scratch and proceeded to slather on the foundation when actually,
foundation only emphasises the flakes by resting on top of them instead of
blending in with the rest of your skin.

How
to fix it: We’ve been told it, have read about it
and seen it on the telly, but most of us fail to do it – exfoliating your skin
regularly. Exfoliating really does get rid of those flakes, and following that
up with a rich moisturiser means you’ll have silky smooth skin again in no
time.
Smooth skin = smooth application.
Clumpy Eyelashes
The
mistake: Applying several coats of mascara to give
your eyelashes thickness and volume. Sometimes, we end up with spider eyelashes
which can draw attention for all the wrong reasons. Think Kim Kardashian.

How
to fix it: Like you would determine the strength
and thickness of your hair, you need to do the same for your eyelashes. Only
apply two coats of mascara and use something that will help build your lashes
gradually.
Streaky Blusher
The
mistake: Allowing your blush brush to become damp
and tangled which leads to blush streaks,

How
to fix it: Your brush should be soft rounded for
perfect blendability. Clean them often to avoid stains, and allow to dry
naturally to avoid further damage. If your brush is beyond a wash, throw it
away and buy a new one.
Sleeping in Your Make-Up
The
mistake: It happens to the best of us, climbing
into bed without removing your make-up.

How
to fix it: Leaving your make-up on can lead to
clogged spores and spots, as well as staining on your pillow case. Invest in
some 2 or 3 in 1 wipes and wipe away the day’s make-up. It will only keep you
awake an extra minute and your skin will thank you for it.
