What Scents Are Aphrodisiacs?

How important is it for your partner to smell good? Very important, I guess. Aphrodisiacs are being used for years to draw opposite sexes together. There are many different objects like flowers, foods, oil which have been used in the past as aphrodisiacs. It was also found out that there are certain scents which were produced naturally from the human body and those could have been used as aphrodisiacs as well. These kinds of fragrances can be added to women's fragrance. 

Let us see some of the scents which are aphrodisiacs.

Pheremones

It is a natural chemical that is produced by the human body. When the pheromones are released, it causes a change in the human behavior even when the person is not fully aware that it is being released. There are specific genes which are related to this hormone which causes the involuntary change in behavior. All can't identify the smell of it as many are unaware of it and some can't even feel it. For the others, who can handle it say that is musky. Many designer perfumes have this added to it for a better smell. 

Lavender and Pumpkin Pie

It is found out that there is 40% more arousal in men when they are exposed to pumpkin pie which is combined with the essential oil lavender. Many men also react when there are cinnamon and vanilla in pumpkin pie as they have aphrodisiac qualities as well.

Jasmine

Studies show that jasmine causes the most sexual excitement out of all the natural scents present. It has been used for ages in Asian countries due to its erotic properties. The compound indole is found in the white flower which is also present in human genitals, and they cause arousal.

Black Licorice

The Black Licorice has phytoestrogen sterols which affect the testosterone and estrogen hormones which are sex hormones. It is not yet discovered that how and up to what degree they affect the level of hormones, but they do bring a change in the hormonal levels.

Cinnamon

We will all agree that cinnamon is a pretty pleasant aroma and everyone loves it. It was also found out in a study that the smell of cinnamon rolls caused an increased flow of blood in the male genital parts compared to any other scent. 

Vanilla

This welcoming, sweet odor is blessed with a euphoric effect that makes the mood sensual. It is a natural aphrodisiac, and earlier, it was suggested to male patients who were not potent enough.

Citrus

The citrus fruit just doesn't contribute to your better skin but it also has aphrodisiac properties due to which men feel that you are younger. It was found out that the scent of oranges increased the arousal of men by 20%. 

Essential oils

Not just lavender and jasmine, most of the essential oils cause a sensual feeling. When you combine lavender with other floral oils, patchouli or cedar wood, they tend to attract more men.
