Guide to Selecting a Right Designer Perfume

Perfumes are the fragrances that everyone wears to enhance their beauty, lift their mood, and recall fond memories or simply to smell good. There are several different perfumes available in market these days. In fact wearable fragrances have become a multibillion dollar business per year. Thanks to designer perfumes, new brands and new marketing tactics that more people are choosing & wearing different types of perfumes than ever before. So how do you decide what fragrance suits your personality best? There are several different ways to decide on how to choose a perfect fragrance to match your own unique personality and style.

Choosing a fragrance

Each perfume consists of different notes. These notes form the overall perfume. There are three different layers in these notes and they are – base, middle and top notes and they all work together to create a specific fragrance. For example some perfumes will be considered floral as they contain notes of flowers like rose, lily, geranium or gardenia. While others may be fruitier with notes of apple or citrus! Exotic perfumes contain spicy notes like cinnamon or star anise. There are several different notes in men’s scent as well. These contain more masculine notes like pine or even leather based notes. It is always a good idea to find out which fragrance you prefer and then check what base notes they contain before making a buying decision.

Test The Scent

Buy you decide to buy designer perfumes, perform a few simple tests to ensure that it is something you will enjoy wearing. Basically try a bit the scent on your skin. This is the reason why most of the cosmetic stores and departments offer testers so people can try before actually buying it. Every individual’s skin has its own unique code of pheromones and hormones that slightly or even extremely change the way a fragrance smells. It is recommended to spray a little amount of scent on your wrist, wait a few minutes and then smell it. Sometimes it enhances or diminishes the smell depending on your own chemical makeup. I t can also be changed if you have a certain chemistry that does not match the mixture of the fragrance. If you cannot shop in retail stores, try a few simple online tests that can help you find a scent that will fit your own style.

Tips to Choose Perfect Wedding Perfume

Something luxurious and new or a sentimental favourite! We will help you choose a perfect wedding fragrance.

Perhaps true with everyone some fragrances always remind us of specific things. And then we use all our senses to recall those special moments. So with all these things in mind it stands to reason that your wedding perfume is something really special. It will not only fragrance your special day but can also be with you for the rest of your life to refresh those memories whenever you want.

Planning your wedding scent

You need to plan your wedding scent, just like all other elements. So that you’ll be sure that you will smell as wonderful as you will look. You may end up with your everyday favourite or might get something entirely different though don’t make any quick decisions. This is a really fun process!

Begin by thinking about the wedding style that you have planned. If wedding perfume is chosen carefully it will become an integral part of your special day.

Have you planned a beautiful countryside wedding or will be taking your vows in a garden ceremony? Floral inspired perfume gift sets for her will be perfect for such a wedding. If the venue has a lot of trees, even vines or orchards, fruity yummy perfumes will do the trick.

Elegant white floral, gorgeous green leaves & something very light will create the feeling that you want for chic city weddings. Alternatively if you prefer something beautiful though not very overpowering, a clean, fresh wedding fragrance will work anywhere.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when you are out shopping for the wedding perfume:

1. Don’t apply any perfume when you go out for shopping. If you’ll spray a fragrance on top of a fragrance you will not get the real idea of the scents you are trying

2. Spray perfume on skin instead of paper strips. As our skins vary greatly and hence the same scent can give different fragrance on deferent people.

3. Do not judge a perfume quickly in spite of the huge encouragement you get from the sales person. You need minimum 30 minutes for a perfume to settle on your skin and only after the mentioned time a fragrance develops completely.

4. Try a perfume with higher oil contents like Eau de Parfum rather than Eau de Toilettes as the former will last longer.

5. Finally, consider a new perfume for your wedding day even if you are simply in love with your regular scent. This will probably help you link your fragrance to your special day down the line. Though don’t go for a wildly different perfume – you definitely know what you like!

If you are buying it for your friend to make her feel special on her big day than we have a range of Perfume Gift Sets for Her to choose from. Pick one according to her taste and surprise her!

Fragrance trends for the EMEA region 2019

Want to know where the fragrance trend will be reaching in 2019? Let’s take a look at the four big predictions made by Bell Flavors & Fragrances to get an insight into it.

As per the New Year’s fragrance trends renowned themes with fresh interpretations will get very much popular, said the company.

Already hidden aspects of France, inner peace, coral and the new positive image of hemp, work as a colour trend and have been inspirations for creating new branded fragrances

France

According to Bell, no other country than France represents elegance and luxury and it believes that this will typically be the reason for fragrance in the new year.

The focus will be on the jewels of breath taking landscapes between Cote d’Azur and Brittany with exciting variations of lavender alongside. For instance the popularity of sea fennel with truffles and oleander as plants less used in cosmetics has increased, the company explains.

The former was chiefly found in the gourmet kitchen so far and its appearance reminds of algae. The fresh yet salty-bitter fragrance of the umbel lifer is ideal for not only personal care products but for detergents as well.

Whilst because of the exotic feature the sea fennel is primarily used all alone. The luxurious fragrances of oleander are found mainly in combination with other subtle distinctions. For instance the floral scent with sparkling champagne notes turns into a pleasant combination which provides refreshing notes in day-to-day life.

Hemp

Personal care and beauty product creators have been increasingly shown their interest in Hemp, CBD oil and cannabis and according to Bell this applies to fragrances as well.

While hemp could only be discussed privately, few years ago, the ornamental and useful plant is now increasingly found in the beauty elements.

Hemp helps in strengthening the immune system and fight skin diseases. It is recommended particularly for sensitive skin due to vital substances and high nutrients and also helps in strengthening moisture balance of the skin. Thus hemp has the best foundation to establish itself as a trend.

Luxury

Bell says that products that can provide a pampering feature will become more popular this year due to increasing stress and pressure these days.

In this fast-paced world the relaxing moments have become most important commodity and branded fragrances helps in establishing that inner peace and find time for you.

Both fresh & little spicy elements are perfect for this purpose and these are also used in aromatherapy. Generally soothing and soft fragrances that are not too sweet or dominant are effective.

Living Coral

Bell says that fragrance producers can take inspiration from living coral which was picked by Pantone as its colour of the year for 2019.

Coral red with a touch of golden undertones is a perfect combination of the digital world and the natural space. It is a soothing colour that is found in nature as well as has a powerful presence online.

Makeup Trend to try in 2019

2019 is all here, and we all know how important it is to look good. In the fast few years, we have seen some major beauty trends and the change in how we like to dress up. Less has become more, and we have learned to flaunt our personal characteristics and yet look good. Earlier, the bushy eyebrows were shaved to make them look ultra-thin, but all of those have passed, and it's time to welcome 2019 in a better style. If you are worried about the budget, then don't worry because we are going to discuss some makeup trends that can be done with cosmetics for less prices.

Brown lips

The dark color is going to rule back this year. No more nudes and metallic shades, but it is time to go bold. The theme for 2019 lips is going to be more of neutral and natural. You need to choose earthy and brown tones which are on the warm side. The dark berry color is becoming more popular, and you can always choose a dark lip color with matte finishing. Also, don't forget to line your lips and you can use the Bare Minerals Gen Nude Under Over Lip Liner to do so.

Natural brows

As we move forward, our fashion has evolved, and we have started accepting natural things. Rather than plucking the eyebrows and making them look thin, we have started liking the natural eyebrows. Rather than plucking,  people prefer getting it cleaned and just lining it, but the natural shape is always maintained. If you want to fill your eyebrows in between and make them look better, you can always use Goof Proof Brow Pencil Easy Shape & Fill pencil. It works amazingly well and gives you a natural finishing.

Liner is a must

It is the time for the liners. As they say, when in doubt, just wing it. If you don't want to overdo it, you can always opt for a soft color like brown and then do it, but make sure you smudge it properly. The NARS Eyeliner Stylo and Bobbi Brown ink eyeliner are some of the best eyeliners. They are easy to be used and are smudge-free.

Not too much contouring

Rather than contouring the face too much, it is time to just frame it. After the entire makeup is on point, the face can be framed by using a bronzer, rather than contouring it totally. If you want to make your cheekbones and jawline look perfect, just use a bronzer and frame those parts.

Foundations

Although you should always ensure that it doesn't look cakey, a little bit of foundation doesn't hurt. But, make sure you use the ones who have enough pigmentation and always pick the right tone. If you mess up with the shade, it is not going to blend correctly. Always use a blender with a foundation because you don't want people to spot you with bad makeup. Don't overdo it and try keeping it natural while hiding the spots.

The makeup trends have changed drastically as we keep accepting the natural beauty even more. Make sure that you purchase good quality products because you don't want to mess with your skin.

What Scents Are Aphrodisiacs?

How important is it for your partner to smell good? Very important, I guess. Aphrodisiacs are being used for years to draw opposite sexes together. There are many different objects like flowers, foods, oil which have been used in the past as aphrodisiacs. It was also found out that there are certain scents which were produced naturally from the human body and those could have been used as aphrodisiacs as well. These kinds of fragrances can be added to women's fragrance.

Let us see some of the scents which are aphrodisiacs.

Pheremones

It is a natural chemical that is produced by the human body. When the pheromones are released, it causes a change in the human behavior even when the person is not fully aware that it is being released. There are specific genes which are related to this hormone which causes the involuntary change in behavior. All can't identify the smell of it as many are unaware of it and some can't even feel it. For the others, who can handle it say that is musky. Many designer perfumes have this added to it for a better smell.

Lavender and Pumpkin Pie

It is found out that there is 40% more arousal in men when they are exposed to pumpkin pie which is combined with the essential oil lavender. Many men also react when there are cinnamon and vanilla in pumpkin pie as they have aphrodisiac qualities as well.

Jasmine

Studies show that jasmine causes the most sexual excitement out of all the natural scents present. It has been used for ages in Asian countries due to its erotic properties. The compound indole is found in the white flower which is also present in human genitals, and they cause arousal.

Black Licorice

The Black Licorice has phytoestrogen sterols which affect the testosterone and estrogen hormones which are sex hormones. It is not yet discovered that how and up to what degree they affect the level of hormones, but they do bring a change in the hormonal levels.

Cinnamon

We will all agree that cinnamon is a pretty pleasant aroma and everyone loves it. It was also found out in a study that the smell of cinnamon rolls caused an increased flow of blood in the male genital parts compared to any other scent.

Vanilla

This welcoming, sweet odor is blessed with a euphoric effect that makes the mood sensual. It is a natural aphrodisiac, and earlier, it was suggested to male patients who were not potent enough.

Citrus

The citrus fruit just doesn't contribute to your better skin but it also has aphrodisiac properties due to which men feel that you are younger. It was found out that the scent of oranges increased the arousal of men by 20%.

Essential oils

Not just lavender and jasmine, most of the essential oils cause a sensual feeling. When you combine lavender with other floral oils, patchouli or cedar wood, they tend to attract more men.

These are some of the scents which are aphrodisiac. You can use these natural scents when necessary.
